A few months ago I attended the United States Conference on AIDS (USCA) in Florida to check in on the new trends going on in the world of HIV prevention. In addition to the beautiful weather, the conference made a notable shift in the normal narrative about HIV, and placed a heavy focus on the intersection of HIV and racial disparities through a “Black Lives Matter” lens.
